Thank God for my problems...

A few days ago Greg Delort came up to me and asked me how I'm doing. We were just passing in the hallway so I said the normal, 'doing fine' answer when he stopped and said, 'really, you're doing alright.' So we had a quick exchange of how my life was going and I told him some of my recent problems (dropping Doctrine, being sick, stressed from homework...which I NEVER am...and whatnot). Afterwards I got to thinking and realized that my real problems were pretty simple ones. I mean seriously what is homework stress and being sick, pretty surfacy.

I was really happy when I thought about this because it's been a long time since my issues were surfacy ones. The past semester was one of pain and brokenness. All of my problems were pretty serious ones that took a lot of time to cope through. But for the first time I realized that my most pressing problems are surfacy ones. It gave me a chance to really thank God. And I really did too, I sat down and thanked him earnestly for helping in whatever ways he did.

So I guess I'm thankful for surfacy problems. I thankful that my life is starting to settle itself. This way I'll be more prepared for what to do when the next tidal wave comes in.

If I tagged you, you helped me through this last semester. More than you probably know.
(not able to be tagged...Greg Delort and my mother and father)
